Meet Our Director
Tarek El-Ghamrawy, the founder & director of our firm is an insightful advisor with extensive experience in Islamic finance consulting and Shariah advisory, who has successfully led our experts. His steadfast commitment has driven our team toward achieving excellence.
Tarek is an AAOIFI Certified Sharia Advisor & Auditor (CSAA). He holds an MSc in economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and is currently pursuing his second MSc in Islamic finance from INCEIF University in Malaysia. Tarek completed a BA course in Islamic and Arabic Studies in Cairo. In addition, he has been studying Shariah sciences for 15+ years with prominent Shariah scholars from Egypt and other countries. Tarek was formerly an Islamic finance consultant at IFAAS, a leading Islamic finance consultancy, and since he founded AlMajna Advisors, he has been providing diversified Shariah consulting services to enterprises and individuals. Tarek is the author of several papers and articles in economics and Islamic finance.

Our Recent Projects
Through a multi-phase project that lasted for two years, we conducted a holistic Shariah assessment of their product and revamped their operating models, besides screening and enhancing several other products such as pre-paid cards, investment products and pension plans including Sukuk.
A platform specialized in connecting parties of the poultry industry chain wanted to develop all its financial products in a Shariah-compliant way. Our services included developing a whole set of Shariah-compliant financing and trading products serving the various nodes of the poultry industry chain, using instruments like Salam, Murabaha and Wakala.
A centralized exchange for crypto assets that has a Shariah-compliant module appointed AlMajna Advisors as its Shariah board. During this project, we Shariah-screened 40+ crypto assets traded on the exchange to decide whether or not they should be to be traded on the exchange’s Halal module. For every crypto asset, we issued a certificate on its halal status with detailed explanation.
